Questions and my opinion (XBox)

Hello,

some questions:

1. Is there any way to jump directly to problematic places? I see the red icons on top of the screen but have to manually search where the problem is (e.g. select ranger and see the which feeder maybe is empty). If this is not possible: The "Up-Arrow" on the XBox-Controller could be used to activate the top icons - seems the button is not used during "normal game view".

2. Is there any way to get the size of an enclosure? The dino data give the amount needed - but i cannot see how many qm an enclosure has.

3. I can drive through trees on my XBox... Is this normal?

4. When breeding dinos i can switch to the info - but the information there is not complete. I get more info when i click on a "living" dino. Can i get ALL information about dinos before i breed it?

5. Collision detection is really bad - at least on the XBox. My jeep automatically stops when i approche a dino. But nothing prevents a dino from walking though the jeep. Sometimes the jeep gets hit when this happens - sometimes nothing happens and i am possibly inside the dino while he is walking through the jeep.

6. Filling the feeders is really bad. We should have an option for "auto-fill" => The feeders should be able to "call the ranger team" if empty. Should be switchable to disable it when low on budget.

7. On my first island i was a little fast. I extracted a lot of DNA and later was unable to fulfill the contact "get at least 50% dna" because all possible dinos were on more than 50% at this time. The game should disable contract that cannot be fulfilled.

But: Over all i really enjoy the game. Bought it yesterday evening (deluxe version of course) and played until 2:00 a.m.... Grrr. I have to work today...

I only am quite disappointed about the micro-animations (visitors, shops etc.). FD really should have spend some more love to those details.

P.S.: I got some crashes on the XB1. Mostly when i was driving around with the jeep. Seems that a kind of auto-save prevented me from real loss - but FD should have a look at the crashes. No Bug-Report as i cannot tell the steps to reproduce the crashes. Some crashes after 2 or 3 hours continuous play - some after 30 minutes.
 
On your 6th point, I think it's a deliberate choice not to have those on auto-fill. I like the idea to be able to activate an auto-fill with an upkeep though.

The rest will probably get fixed soon, especially the crashes on consoles : there was a patch earlier today on xbox/ps4, that should be about the crashes, I think (no patch notes yet)
 
Last night I had a mission to acquire 50% of a Triceratops genome; by that time I already had 67%. It stayed there for a while, until I did something (not sure what) that eventually caused it to resolve.

Probably getting a bit more DNA for the Trike, with refreshed the total you had above 50 ?

I don' know about xBox (I play PS4) but (when playing the PS4) we press Triangle (or it might be Square) which clearly shows items/animals that need addressing.

It's as normal as managing a park full of dead animals. :cool:

I have noticed this on PS4. Probably best to drop this concern into the bug section of the forums.

It's a park management game, thus it's up to us to manage our rangers and have them attend the feeders. If there was an auto feature, we wouldn't be managing it, would we? :)

Contracts are cross-island, so you can attend them elsewhere I believe. In any case, you can always cancel them - you don't lose anything.

Edit: I don't have answers for #2 and #4. Sorry.
 
I haven't found the feeders emptying to often, but as others have said it would be at least cool to have an option on the feeder to say 'refill me' that adds the task to a ranger.

Unlocking automated ranger options would also be good, but then I guess you could argue for auto-tranq escaped dinos, auto-transport tranqed dinos, audo-build demanded shops - and they all we'd have to do is look at the dinos :D

Edit: Re: driving through trees : I actually found a tree that I couldn't drive through - and that was more annoying!
