Zoo Tycoon Questions for frontier.

Me and I'm sure others have a million questions for you, the developer.
Personally Zoo Tycoon is one of the games I'm really looking forward too. I'm quitte sure that I'm the most hyped Belgian person in Belgium for this game :p

I do have a few questions and I hope someone will have the time to answer it.

- Any idea how many different animals will be in the game?
- Can you play the game without using the Kinect?
- Will the game still play like Zoo Tycoon 2?

Hi DaeJim,

I don't have too much to do with this project, other than running the forum, but I believe I can provide you with some answers. According to David in this recent video by IGN there will be over 100 species available in Zoo Tycoon. I'm also quite sure it works without Kinect, but I'd wait for official confirmation on that.

As to how it plays, some things will be similar to Zoo Tycoon 2 but there are a lot of new elements that will completely change how you experience the game. Hopefully that IGN video will give you a better idea of the differences.

Hopefully this helps!

Other platforms

I've already pre-ordered my PS4. Any chance Zoo Tycoon will be released on Sony's console too? I'd love to play this with my kids.

Hi.

I am huge Zoo Tycoo fan. Played the first one, and later its expansions hours and hours ten years ago. So, I'm really excited to try the new game.

I would like to ask if it is possible to share details about the differences in both versions of the game. The Xbox 360 version vs the Xbox One version.

Thanks.

And, sorry DaeJim for posting on your thread, hope you don't mind. ;)

Hi Ouroboros,

As the Xbox One is a more powerful machine the game will have a higher level of graphical fidelity on the new console, and there will be more power to support additional features. The key differences have not been fully defined yet though I'm afraid, so you'll have to wait for an official announcement to find out how they differ.

Thank your.

I will wait then for an official announcement.
Definitely will get both versions, but will only play the 360 for a year or two until I am able to buy a Xbox One.

Thanks.
