Questions for Michael Brookes about Thrillville 2

Will the different W.H.O.A. pieces be avaliable to specific coasters or all coasters?
I have seen some new flat rides in trailers. Will all of the flat rides from the original Thrillville be avaliable?

Most of the WHOA pieces form specific WHOA Coasters, although some pieces are available across a number of coasters.

There's 20 new carnival rides for Off The Rails, and we've updated 20 of the original Thrillville rides as well.

Will there be many flat rides and how on the PC will that effect lag?

Also will Thrillville for the PC use that dreaded copy protection again?

There's around 40 carnival rides. Thrillville works and plays very differently to RCT3 so some of the issues parks being too big for people's PC's are much less likely to occur.

Are the parks in Thrillville 2 bigger than they were in the first Thrillville?
One of the things that I hated in the first one was having to remove most of my stalls and flat rides to build a coaster. In the trailers it seems you can build at least two coasters and still have room for flats and stalls in the build areas.:)

On the console versions will the amount of electricity still be a factor about how many flats,stalls, and coasters you can place in one area of a park? And will this rule apply to the pc version as well?

How many parks will their be this time? And how many themes will be avaliable to each park? Five parks, three themes for each or more?

On the Wii version. The games that are being brought back from the first Thrillville. Will the remote and numchuck be used as a gun for the shooting gallerys and the wild west and alien shooters? Numchuck to aim remote to shoot maybe?

I can't answer all your questions right now, but I can say that the mini games have been updated to make use of the Wii remote and nunchuck, so for example you will point and shoot on the shooting galleries.

And there are five new parks, each with three new themed areas.

So essentially as you stated from the start this is not really intended to say compete with something that concentrates more on park modeling and realism of amusement parks, this is more cartoonish, and intended to be more like visiting a park etc?

Correct, it's more about the experience of being in a theme park. For example rather than relying on stats, you can talk to the park guests to see what they think of the park. But there's still the management side for those that want to delve deeper.

I noticed in the first part of the E3 video rail-run that part of the coaster goes under ground.
Will this be a new option in Thrillville 2 not just open areas?

At 1up the article said this:
New customization options let you now "trick out" the more ordinary rides to give them more variety and character.
And at Ign:
In addition to rollercoasters you're able to build smaller carnival rides that can be customised with paint jobs or by sticking decoration on the outside
What kind of choices will we have with this?

At Gaming Today it says this:
Distinguish your rides even more with enhanced customization options. Attach animatronics, flowers and flaming hoops to all of your coasters and rides.
Will we haved triggered animatronics with track pieces?

Build areas and rides

Michael I went back and played Thrillville for a while. And I noticed something I didn't really pay attention to the first time around. There are a lot of rides,coasters,stalls,and games avaliable in the game. But only certain ones and not all of each are in each park. What was the reason for this?

In Thrillville 2, I hope this changes. So you can pick from all of the coasters,rides,stalls,and games avaliable, no matter which park you are in.:)

The one thing that still gripes me about Thrillville is the build areas. They seem fairly big until you try to place something in them. If I'm lucky I can get two rides in one area. Or a game and a couple of stalls. Sometimes a coaster will keep me from building anything else at all. I love the different areas and the theming in the build areas. But the shape of the build areas really restricts you from building sometimes too. It's hard to put a square peg in a round whole:D. I wish the land (cliff or bank)around a build area would allow for small restrictions and go ahead and allow the ride to be placed. I also wish you could move the scenery that is already placed to another part of the build area rather than it being deleted completely. Or have some trees,plants, or rocks you could purchase as fill-ins for the unused areas that fit the theme of the build area. I understand the reasons for the footprints of the rides and game stalls. But why does the footprint of the food and drink stalls have to stick out so far in the front? Couldn't this area be reduced by at least half? It would make it a lot easier to place it in small areas. And if it's possible in Thrillville 2 please do away with the power meter restriction that leaves you having room and money to place something else but not enough power to place it.

Some of this may have already been considered for Thrillville 2. If not I hope it isn' too late to think about ways to make these build areas more user friendly.:)

Having fixed ride and game selections for each park helps to provide each park with it's own identity. The game is also designed to be accessible for younger players and it helps them not to be overloaded with choices in their parks.

The stall footprints are to allow for queues. The build areas remain the same, they are designed to hold one large ride or a few smaller ones. The actual size of the build area will vary depending on the layout of the themed area.

The power meter is an integral part of the game play. It must be remebered that this isn't RCT3, you're not building a park from scratch. You're given parks with resources and you as the player must use those resources to your best advantage.

Maybe all rides available for all parks and no power meter could be put in as a cheat code for completing the game.:)
Or at least all rides for all parks cheat, for each of the five parks. I'm not wanting RCT3 to build a park from scratch. I would just like to have a choice of all the rides in the game for each area.:)

Michael I noticed on the new website for Thrillville OTR, that in the Candyland theme video that the wild looking cook is not there anymore. Did he get taking out, he was in an earlier trailer? I liked him. :(
