[Questions] I have 80% rep with a faction. It says 'Influence' underneath?

What does that mean?

If I run a job for this faction I get notification of reputation increase on completion but my reputation doesn't go above 80%.

Do I need to do more extreme missions to go above 80%?

Is Influence an indicator of the state of the faction or some kind of rank?

I might be wrong but I think Influence actually relates to faction itself and by affecting it you can change the leadership in this particular system. Your reputation with them will only get you up to "Allied" unless there is one level higher

Yeah, Influence has to do with how much strong the faction is in the system, relative to the other factions present. Running missions for and trading with the factions in a system can change their relative influence with each other. This is how players have instigated civil wars and helped factions to begin expanding into neighboring systems.

So theoretically if I keep working on a faction and against an opposing faction I might eventually (maybe with some help) be able to assist with pushing one faction out of control of and my prefered one in?
