Questions regarding future updates

G'Day Commanders!

So, like most, I am super excited for horizons and all other updates to this great game. However, also like most, I have quite a few questions regarding the updates that I have not been able to find elsewhere (and yes I did look!!!).

The Q's

1. Will Horizons be released at the same time as 1.6 or is 1.6 coming first?

2. (Irrelevant if both updates are at the same time) I'm getting confused as to what is in each update so I ask, are planetary landings in 1.6 update or Horizons?

3. When Horizons is released will xbox users start getting updates the same time pc users get them or will xbox still be behind?

4. I just started playing less than a week ago and havent done much other than bounty hunting. Are there any features going away with horizons that I need to try out before theyre gone?

5. Is there anywhere to find a sort of "patch notes" for the updates?

6. And of course the most asked question ever, WEn CaNN i HAz myy H0rIzoNz?!?!?

3. Xbox and Pc will be caught up to each other and should get updates in tandem moving forward.
5. The patch notes are usually posted at the top of the forums under elite dangerous for xbox one.
2. 1.6 is an update to the mission system i believe, horizons is planetary landings. And then there is 2.1 which is the engineers update, which will add crafting improved modules.
I'm sure other people will post and give you more info, but thats what I think i know, and it should be more or less correct.(hopefully)

Answering Q's that AD didn't (I have the same understanding as all his responses)...
1. XBone will get 1.6 before Horizons (up to 2.1 like PC).
2. [adding] Some weapons that aren't yet Large or bigger will be added also (Yeah! Large multi-cannons!)
4. Hmmm, get as much time in avoiding NPC rammings shortly after you hear "Scan detected." Supposedly they'll stop doing this. Get recordings of the station comms now if you want them for nostalgia sake as it seems they're changing. Have seen several videos from beta where the Traffic Control voice differs from station to station (limited number of them so will repeat eventually?). Kill Wanted Master or better ranked NPCs now since they'll be getting tougher.
6. Looks like some time in June (that's when 2nd quarter 2016 ends and FD last said 2nd quarter 2016)

1. Both will probably arrive at the same time. People who buy the Horizons "Season pass" will get 2.1 and people who don't will get 1.6.

2. Planetary Landings is the first Horizons "episode", it was the 2.0 update on PC. So we'll get it in 2.1. It's part of Horizons.

3. The PC and Xbox versions will be developed in parallel from now on. The console version will not be behind anymore.

4. There are no features going away. The game's only getting bigger.

5. You can find patch notes in this very forum whenever there is one coming.

6. Horizons will be released in Q2 this year, which probably means the end of June if everything goes to plan.

Quoting this for easy reference cause I'm on mobile at the moment.

1. We're supposed to get 1.6 sooner than Horizons. So 1.6 around the end of May, with Horizons expected sometime in June.
2. 2.x is all Horizons content, like Planetary Landings and The Engies. 1.6 stuff is extra, like the Galaxy Map updates.
3. Since they restructured the engine on Xbox One to be more similar to the PC version, we'll see updates sooner than we have until now, but not completely in sync with PC.
4. I don't think so. Horizons is supposed to add to the game, not take away from it. Enjoy the AI while bounty hunting down though, it apparently gets tougher/more annoying in 2.1.
5. I'm on mobile so I can't link, but there's a patch notes forum on the forum, plus we get a sticky topic in this forum with patch notes when Xbox gets updates.

all owners of elit will get 1.6,xbox specific, languages, controller mapping and groups. we should get this before horizons.

horizons, when purchased will give you 2.0, planetary landings.

2.1 the engineers, will be when they update pc and xbox together,which will be crafting.

Patch notes forum link above, patch notes for all versions are in there first (xbox specific ones tend to eventually make it to the stickies at the top of this forum).

If you want to see what is coming in the 1.6/2.1 updates just check out the patch notes for the Betas as they will be largely the same as the final version, incremental fixes and balancing being the main changes.

With future updates all you can reliably predict is that they will be in the future And they will update the game
