Hello, I'm back
I have some questions regarding my Rift S and my new rig.
I bought a new PC last week (7800 X3D, 7900 XTX, 64 GB) and curiously wanted to try Elite in VR again, because my old potatoe had troubles with it.
1)
The new one obviously doesn't, it rather chews through what Elite offers it, with ease. Ultra VR settings are no problem.
But I don't like to fiddle through settings, so can someone give me some tips if that preset is ok or if I should tweak something?
2)
I noticed some serious flicker in the livery, mostly with the Mamba, but also with the Type 8. Any ideas what that could be and how to fix it?
3)
I also noticed the orbital lines are only shown on the left eye display of the rift, any idea why that is or how I can change that?
4)
how do you all manage to communicate in VR? I had those problems before, typing is difficult, and looking after something in the forums too.
For the forums I use the meta app menu in combination with the controller to view the browser in VR, any ideas if there is a more elegant solution?
