Queues Extra

I dont know if anyone has had this thread but it would be cool if we had queues like actual amusement parks such as if the line was empty the queue would be really short but as soon as it got a lot longer they would direct to another queue that was made for having a lot of people versus a long queue for only a couple people.
 
If I understand you right, that's what priority queuing is/does. Add those to your rides, and when the economy system comes into play if people buy an Priority Pass (from an information booth), it allows them to cut the long lines and go on the ride immediately.

No I meant like if you enter a empty ride the queue is different Than a 50+ min wait queue because they rope off the extra lines on the ride because there is no use for them but when the ride gets packed the staff opens up more queue lines so that it can accommodate more people. The picture shows that they have no people in that line because the line is too short to open up that line but if it were full of people trying to ride it they would have to open up that line.

Im actually not a fan of the "Fast pass" as it adds extra work and more line... this idea decreases unused line which is a great idea!! But maybe its not that big of a deal with the current way the game is set to add 200 guests per ride, unless that changes somehow

i'd totally love to see this. i believe they're called overflow queues and practically every major ride has them. perhaps they could automatically open when the queue time reaches a set number?

Yes. Overflow queues are incredibly important. I made a dive machine with 2 trains, so 30 people per train and trains left about every minute. The queue was quite long as it winded through a large building and then went up 2 or 3 flights of stairs into a small queue loop before reaching the load station. The wait time maxed out at 14 real time minutes when the queue was full. I tried expanding the queue and it just messed up the ride entrance and wouldn't let me connect back the queue. Also, what ever happened to "please fill in all available space?" The Planet Coaster guests are way too spread out in the queues. Also, where did the 1m wide queue go? Some queues bottle-neck to single file quite often.
And lastly, if you make a 3m wide queue to a 2m wide queue (or 4m to 3m, etc...) then if the queue gets wide again the guests act as if the queue is still narrow. Again, they need to fill in all available space.

obviously both exist in real theme parks, idk why your not a fan of the fast pass, it does indeed help for the guests even when queues fill up queues like this.

It isn't a fixed 200 guests anymore anyways. It is more random now. Just a heads up on that.

I also really like the Priority pass but want this added also as they are different things. You don't have to add the Priority Pass if you don't want but it is a key part to real management, gameplay and adds a new dynamic.
