Newcomer / Intro Quick easy rep question

after weeks of grinding rares in a stripped down cobra and being endlessly harrassed by pirates, I saved up and repped up enough to buy a clipper (try to run me down now worthless pirates).

Question is: now that I'm a Barron with empire, would headding over to fed space and doing fed military rank missions will I lose/start to lose my rep with empire? I want to vist sol but I don't know if it would be worth loosing Barron status

Slightly different rep quiestion here, more like whether things have changed at all in this area..:

Does it still affect negatively on the main faction rep when doing bounty hunting in the faction's area? Found that a bit weird.

Fixed in 1.1:

- Attacking ships wanted by the local jurisdiction doesn't necessarily incur the rep hit

And another quick rep question whilst we're at it, do you get rep for collecting the bounty on wanted NPCs?

Yes, you get rep for bounties.

Due to some unfortunate events I ended up unfriendly with federation, resulting in no missions for me. I had to do some bounty hunting first in order to start getting missions.

Thanks for setting that straight. It's what I thought, but thought that I'd ask anyhow. If you have a KWS and there is outstanding bounty with other factions do you get rep with them also?

Side note: if your unfriendly with a system. Load up a ship up with as many rares as you can from far and wide...then unload them all at desired system with low rep.

I did this with a cobra with 50 some odd tons of rares and I was getting mil rank up quests in no time
