Newcomer / Intro Quick question about Inara signature

'Lo folks - just heading out for the Rim, but wante to sign up to Inara to get myself one of those fancy-shmancy Inara signatures to place under my posts here. You know - the plate that lists ranks, ships, pic, etc. I signed into Inara with my CMDR's name, went to import, logged into Steam through the page. It keeps saying an error is occurring. I'm using my correct Steam account; so I'm a bit at a loss as to why it doesn't accept it.
Any ideas?

You have any game you bought from frontier developments, the people who made this :p



You dont actually need steam to run elite, thats why you activate a code here first, so you can download the launcher.

FYI - that information is not accurate. The version sold on Steam changed on 25th April to a "non CD-Key" version - so any copy of E D purchased after 25th April cannot run direct, it has to be run from your Steam login.

(Hence step 2 in the FAQ for the "Please Purchase...." issue: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=277 )

Post on the Inara: Discuss -> Updates, bugs.. The specifics of the error. You can get help from there.

I'm a Steam user, I did what you posted. It works for me. Hopefully it's something simple. Inara is a great tool, especially for working with engineering blueprints.
