Quick question about material traders ...

Do they all have the same "conversions" available and are the conversion "multipliers" always the same ?

Yup, I get that ... I just wanted to check if any traders were cheaper (or more expensive) than others.

And that's a no, so I'm happy.

If you step back and look at the current situation, Mat Traders have dramatically changed how we farm mats. If one is being smart, all you have to do is farm HGEs because trading a G5 down for lower grades is a hell of a lot faster racing around and visiting DGE and EEs just to get a bunch of G1 or G2 mats, often the ones you don't need.

"Happy" isn't a word often used in relation to Mat Traders. :unsure:
I have zero problems with mat traders, I always have a lot of mats I don't need, and I sometimes have a few mats I do need. So I trade the stuff I don't need (which has zero value to me), for stuff I do need (which I do value, 'cos it gets my modules engineered into super dooper modules!). Guess it's the old glass half full vs half empty thing again!

my only beef with material traders is the galaxy filter only works if;

a ) you have visited that trader before
b ) your within 50LY of that trader (might be +/- on the ly i dont remember the exact figure)

So you're better of going on Inara and searching mat trader near "destination", rather than using the in game features which should just be QoL stuff implemented by FD

Exchange rates are a little stingy too, but apart from that...

oh and for some reason i cant trade military grade supercapacitors for class 1 Seismic charge launcher hardpoints, thats annoying too.

Unfortunately that's the case. Which is a shame because it might otherwise encourage building rep with x faction/station or who knows what sort of scary things like gameplay to lower the exchange rate.
