Powerplay Quick question about wages

Sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find a post covering it.

My question is, do you have to maintain your ranking to get your previous week's pay?

Ex: Week 1: 0 Merits --> 10,000 merits - Paid 1,000 credits
Week 2: 5,000 Merits ---> 10,000 merits - Paid 50 Million
Week 3: 5,000 Merits ----> 5,000 merits - Paid 50 million? or 5 million?

My wingman and I farmed to accrue 10k merits two weeks in a row, as in week 1 and 2 of the example. We really do not wish to farm back up to 10k for week 3 as we're are a bit burnt out from it.

Will we receive 50 million for our previous week's work without reaching 10k merits overall again (as we already reached 10k the week before) or do we have to reach 10k one more time to cash out our second 50 million credit payday?

You get paid for whatever rank you achieved at the last cycle tick. Effort this cycle has no bearing. So if for instance I achieved 10000 total merits before last Thursday and then did nothing at all this cycle, I'd be paid 50 mil this coming Thursday.
