Quick Question Regarding Missions From an Expanding Faction

As the title suggests, I am in a system where the controlling faction is under the state of expansion, and I noticed they had no missions on the mission board.

I looked in the minor faction guide forum post, but I couldn't find anything that explained this behavior.

I have restarted the game several times and the behavior is constant. I assume this is working as intended, however, I am not quite sure, so does anyone have any advice that could help?

I'm fairly sure that "Expansion" means that your faction is devoting all its resources into the move. That could mean that missions are significantly curtailed during the expansion to save effort.

Of course, I've got the grill fired up to eat my crow when another cmdr corrects me.

Haha np, thanks that's what I'm thinking too, just want to make sure I'm not missing something that could be preventing me from doing missions
