Does selling goods on the mission board increase trade rank or is it raised just on Commodity board? Cheers.

They sit outside trade profit in your stats, so my guess is 'no'.

(or they did, I've not been trading for a few patches now).

Yes, I suspect so too. It just seems strange that mining missions are so often tied to trade rank yet there is no trade 'benefit' from them. Which basically forces one to go trade (a lot!) in order to get access to the more lucrative mining missions. Oh well... perhaps the first lot of sorties back from the rings should just be purely to sell on the commodities market in order to raise rank for the lucrative missions. Hmmmmm...

Mining missions definitely increase trade rank. I just mined from Broker to Entrepreneur. I tried to determine if Resource Required missions also do that but I think I needed a lower rank to see since those missions have a smaller CR value. I suspect they do too.

Ok, so to definitively answer my own question... mining missions from the bulletin board do increase trade rank. If anyone else wanted to know

Since v1.3 and the implementation of the progress bars for combat, trading, and exploration rank, I've noticed that I seem to get a bigger increase to my trading rank from bulletin board missions than selling the equivalent profit worth of goods through the commodities market. Please note that I said it seems to me to be bigger increase but it might be the same. But I can confirm that I have seen my trading rank increase through the completion of bulletin board missions, especially those that give you the goods to take to another location, including the smuggling of illegal goods to a different station/outpost. I can confidently state that bulletin board missions can increase trading rank because for a long period I was doing missions without carrying extra cargo to sell in the commodities market and my trading rank progress continued to increase every couple of missions.

I did not open commodities market since my last savegame wipe and advanced to dealer by completing smuggling and haulage missions.

trade income allways counts to traderanking , be it trading or mission trading , smuggling is a differtent story

I have checked statistics profit from mining, trading before handing in mining mission worth around 200K after completing the mission neither of those two values (profit from mining, trading) changed. So I dont see how completing mining missions would increase my trading rank

Although the profit numbers may be bugged, as they are for many stats in the statistics page as related to missions (Ex: assassinations missions: I have a profit shown from them of over 700k yet it lists me as not having any kills under the number of targets assassinated stat), just because something doesn't show up on the stat page, doesn't mean that it doesn't affect your pilot's federation rankings

I have been doing smuggling missions almost exclusively recently and I have gained about 8% of trade rank from Entrepreneur to Tycoon in the process, so mission income definitely increases your trade ranking.
