Quick question

I'm considering trying to save up for a new PC, and I'm wondering whether SLI is worth the extra investment. I know this topic has been discussed previously and that Planet Coaster doesn't currently support SLI, but my question is this: is there any chance (technically or otherwise) that PC will ever become SLI-compatible?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

I used to have SLI, and the benefit is marginal. For Planet Coaster it does nothing.

My advise is to not do it, as you will look back in half a year and will think it is a bad solution.

It only costed me 50€ to get me the exact same GTX660 TF 2GB so I didn't invest to much in the end, but after 3 months changed my mind and bought myself a GTX1050ti (4GB) which outperformed both GTX660's for miles.

I happen to own a SLI-system with two 1080GTX'es, it works very well for some games on my 40" 60Hz 4k Monitor, for Planet Coaster however it does nothing at all. SLi is not supported for PC. The Dev's have let me know that SLI will not be supported in the future either.
Also keep in mind that having a second graphics card also brings more heat and more electrical current throughput, so your motherboard, PSU and cooling system needs to be extra beefy as well.

I had a gtx 970s sli and i agree with Luuknoord and PAvanHooijdonk. It's not really worth it.
Unless you're a 3d artist then it's awesome for rendering!

Oh, well, I do think SLI is worth it, but not if you intent to play only Planet Coaster. I am really enjoying a decent 40+ fps at 4K resolution for games like Assetto Corsa and alike, which would not be possible with a single card (maybe JUST with a 1080-Ti but that card is unavailable in Europe a.t.m.)
And you need some more cash to invest in a good mobo, a fat PSU and (water)cooling ...
