Frontier post to follow on contents in this stream. I highly recommend you read that when its available since it will be more in-depth. Until then:
- Experimental effects cost materials, 5 of X, 3 of Z, 5 of A, 3 of B. No cash cost.
- More experimental effects added to replace secondary effects which have been removed.
- Yes, you will need to upgrade every module from Grade 1. To be fair it didn't take Ed that long to do.
- Re-designed UI for Engineer Rolls.
- All rolls are better then the previous roll.
- Slightly less variation with the new system. But max rolls can be more powerful then existing system.
- Experimental effects are available for ALL modules, not just weapons.
- God rolls in the new system will be better compared to old system.
- Material storage change. Every material type has a 100 limit cap.
- Once you've picked an experimental effect, it will stay on the module if you do more rolls on it.
- Access paths to Engineers is unchanged.
- Existing engineered mods are grandfathered - you won't lose them. If you re-engineer them, you'll start from top of Grade 4.
- Module storage increase? "Maybe."
- You can now ignore materials from the contact panel. Great for miners! \o/
- Material Traders are all over the place, dependent on system population and other stuff.
- Galaxy map, new filter - Services. You can locate Material Traders this way.
- Three types of Material Traders: Manufactured, Encoding (Data) and Raw.
- Material Traders UI: Types of material displayed in rows. Select a material (you can see how many you need to get the material to the right/left of the material you have selected) and convert.
- Materials can only be converted to another material of the same type. Ditto for data.
- Data storage is going up too, 100 for each data type.
- You can engineer modules from star-ports if you have the blueprints pinned.
- Max number of pinned blueprints may change, "we need testing on a grand scale."
- You can't get experimental effects or gain engineer rep if you engineer remotely from a starport.
- We're going planet-side!
- New voice packs incoming for your ship's computer!
- You'll have more options to alter your callsign used by Station Traffic Control.
- Galnet Audio! Listen to news items while flying your ship. You can add news items to a play queue and then listen at your leisure. Available for all languages available in the game.
- Control bindings are available for Galnet Audio (Volume etc).
- Nice looking planet. More dramatic changes coming in Q4.
- And they're done and so am I.
