Newcomer / Intro quick super cruise question

Do all ships travel the same speed while in super cruise. If I have a viper will I accelerate faster in super cruise than an Asp (or any big ship), or is ship speed only have an affect while out of super cruise/hyperspace?

I believe all supercruise is the same, both in terms of acceleration and top speed.

Maneuverability is different though.
