Quick tips for finding a station's entrance.

You can find the entrance to a space station simply by looking at which way it is rotating and checking if the banner ads are there.

What you failed to mention is this.

All stations entrances rotate counter clockwise. So, especially for the Coriolis Stations, take a moment to look at the station and see which way it is rotating.

FLAT FACE CLOCKWISE = No Entrance
FLAT FACE COUNTER CLOCKWISE = Entrance

If this has been posted somewhere else (I'm sure it probably has) I apologize, but I'm sure someone will find this useful.

If you still can't figure out which side the slit is on then target the station. In the targeting hologram you should be able to make out the slit if it's facing you. If not just rotate your ship while not moving or with flight assist off. The targeting hologram will rotate in relation to your ship. Once you've rotated till you can see the slit, rotate your ship back towards the station while looking at the targeting hologram and keeping track on which side the slit is on.

Thanks for that. It obviously hadn't ever occurred to me. No more spinning around in place for this guy... and i though i was being clever.

Yep, it is by the far the quickest way to find the entrance. No need to lock the station, look for adds that may or may not be there, etc.

Another thing you can do is make a fist with your right hand with your thumb straight. Your fist is the station. If your fingers are pointing along the line of rotation your thumb will be the exit.

Make sure you post this in the NPC forums, too. I've noticed they could use a lot of help finding the door.

Also when you exit SC , re acquire lock with the station, it shows the station on your 3d scanner on the left, but when you first exit SC it locks on to the planet. Can be easier to look at that sometimes
