Quite a successful start to mining

Well, predictably I got bored trading after a while, the same old grind - and I haven't even been doing it that long.

Kitted out my Adder for mining, found a nice mineral belt and then ventured in to the closest ring. With a bit of luck I was filled with nice shiny metals.

Had a bit of a "moment" where rather than opening the cargo bay doors I jettisoned all my platinum, gold + silver! Fortunately scooped all of it back up again.

I expect I will be bored of this too soon but not before I get my new Cobra!

I am about to get started with mining in my cobra, hope to be as lucky as you

BTW, if you want to make money quickly to get a nice ship and equipment (and you have no morals, in game at least), find a nice anarchy system where they sell illegal slaves and get friendly with the locals....

Thanks. Actually this was only normal metallic, but I avoid going to the resource extraction zones. I manually fly to the ring, closest part to the planet, and then I fly around until I see at least gold. Then I chip away and pickup the goods.

Thanks, I have a full trade platform set up on my laptop (command line python script which with my i7 will scan a huge number of systems and present me the best trade routes, including slaves) - but I got bored of trading pretty quickly. At least with the mining it's fairly dynamic and for the moment I enjoy it!
