Quivira event questions

I was just wondering how you get the combat bonds for the event. I am on the Empire side if that helps. I went to conflict areas and fought a bit but didn't get any combat bonds from it. I apologize if I'm being dense.

A side question pretty much unrelated to this but a friend and I went at it because we joined opposing sides. Unfortunately, it ended quickly as we collided and my ship took about 91% damage and I lost shields. He was in a Cobra and I was in Viper. Is this simply because the Cobra has more mass so it is basically related to force? Just wondering as I have been considering moving to a Cobra and I think this might also be related to toughness.

You need to choose a side and either fire the killing shot on an opponent, or damage it while winged with the individual who kills it, to get the bond for it.

There are many factors that influence collision damage. Mass, speed, angle, relative durability of the ships, etc. In general the larger and tougher the ship compared to your own, the more dangerous collisions with it are.

I picked a side and I definitely landed some killing shots. Am I correct in assuming you need to go to the conflict zones and kill some of the People's Equality fellas?

You need to kill whomever's side you didn't choose. Sometimes instancing can be buggy and not credit you, or cause a delay in the credit.

Ok, I'm aware of that and I stuck around for a bit. It's just confusing because I seemed to kill about 5-6 people the first time and I went to check, nothing...

Had the same issue last night, in my Fed drop ship, chosen fed side, no bonds. Oh yes you need to sign up. So i fly to that station signup for "against patreus" and went back, fought and back again to collect. Nothing...

I had a similar issue in private group. Being alone or in Wing in the Zone the kills were not counted. In Solo and open it worked well, as well as in group after switching around a few times.

Good to see I'm not alone. I guess it is just glitchy. I will also check it tomorrow. I just got frustrated and went to bounty hunt in a close by system. Strangely, a friend of mine who was playing next to me had the same issue. He killed Empire people (why I attacked) and he got nothing. For additionally information, he melted me down at 9% and killed me so I know one of us got a kill. It seems like these community events are obviously glitchy. If anyone would be interested in hunting with me tomorrow, hit me up in game

For anyone having a similar issue, you gotta pick a faction while in the conflict zones. I was confused as I thought people were saying pick a side at a station. Anyways, figured it out!

1. Pick up the Protect Against Patreus CG at Godel Dock in the bulletin board.
2. Go to a CZ
3. Once in the CZ go to system panal/faction and choose Peoples Quivira equality faction
4 Pew pew pew and acquire bonds.

For the Empire side I believe you do the same but need to pick up Wages of War CG in Stapleton Dock and choose the faction Quivira electronics PLC faction.

Note: do not fire on anything until you pick a faction or they go red and I think you wont be able to pick a faction then.

Also, are there any places near Quivira where I can go to for some good farm/bounty hunt? I am not familiar with this area of space.

now i found it, system panal default 4 key. on the right side of the ship.

ow and multicannons are not fun...they run out of ammo
