For the first time in ages, I lost track of time whilst playing and got to bed in the early hours. And had to get up for work! When a game does that to you, you know it's a cracker. I urge anyone who hasn't tried out open-play conflict zones yet to go for it. Just great! Exciting dog-fights, satisfying explosions, multiple ships all firing at the same time, superb sound effects. Well done to FD for this game. Waited thirty years but it's looking like it was worth waiting.
This game is gonna grow into an awesome game.

Yeah.. I've had some great fun battling with and against players.. Its just a shame that the fun aspect of it results in little in game reward.

Tried out the combat zone for the first time the other night. The experience is well worth it. I've only managed to get up to a Cobra at the moment and not even close to fully specced so I was in much more of a hit and run like hell mode, but still great fun.

Would have battled for the empire, but didn't fancy the extra flight time to get to the station at 20k ly to register for that side (far too lazy) so I am now a mercenary instead. ;-)

I saw a lot of fellow Feds yesterday. Are you sure you were in the right system? Those navigation slaves of yours make mistakes you know.......

Had a hilarious incident in a battle against PoQ. We were a dozen CMDRs killing independents and I got a bit trigger happy. Pursuing an enemy Ana - along with 6 or 7 other CMDRs, I saw a hail of my multi-cannon fire rain down on a friendly CMDR who had cut in in front of me. "Ooops!" I thought. Suddenly everything was red and all formerly friendly weapons were now targeting poor little me in my Cobra. I wanted to type "Nonono!" in the chat in reply to the helpful "RUUUUN!" someone typed but I was obviously far too busy jinking, boosting and charging my FSD. Thank you whoever made the A specced Cobra a nippy little blighter, because I scraped out of there with 23% hull.

Scooted back to Stapledon Outpost for some urgently needed medical attention and good laugh.

It has it's brilliant moments, this game. :D

I want to get into the top 15 but ive only put in about 3 hours and raised 1.3 million. Anyone have a clue as to the rankings?
