I based this model on the mk3 cobra concept drawing by Josh Attack and gave it a bit of a retro feel.

I always liked the wheeled landing gear on the cobra mk3 in frontiers, and I'm a bit of ww2 aircraft fan. This is what I came up with.

Colour scheme... Awesome!
Turrets and Drop Tanks... genius!

It would be perfect for fighting those alternate-timeline late-war German jet powered wonder weapons.

To Brassvader: this is amazing work, such attention to detail! I wonder what a complete dieselpunk WW2 Elite galaxy would look like, to match the planes in space flight model? I guess you would need an army of obsessive designers and have to skirt the temptation to just slap rockets on 20th C. naval craft, a la Space Battleship Yamato.

yes , you got me spot on. I loved the flying wing bomber in the indiana jones movie ' raiders of the lost ark', this is what the cobra mk3 reminded of. although wasn't sure about swasticka's all over it so I went with r a f colours. I think an elite prequel would be an excellent game !
