It would really be nice if Elite Dangerous had race missions that awarded rewards based upon best times.
Super Powers like to brag they have the fastest ships.
I suppose a wake gate at the sponsoring system would start/log the start time and other gates would log the other check points.
Awards based on best times would be given. We think 500 light years would be good. Other things might be considered, like finding one of those mobile bases, which I have never seen?
