This happened to a couple friends when going through a National Police road block. One of them had to have his bike towed. Although in their case it was just an unwanted side effect of the whatever equipment the Police were using.

Interesting. The beeb did say on the report that there are few crews working on different methods atm. I wonder if Mulder or Scully could shed some light on the subject?
