I think I understand the colours on the radar (white, yellow, green, red, purple) but the shapes confuse me. You get rectangles, triangles and upside down triangles - what do they mean?
It's like an arrow. Point up is above, point down is below.Upside down triangles are above you, right side up triangles are below you (or is that backwards).

From the specific and obvious way a Player contact manoeuvres when looking to interdict, you do. Slow to minimum SC speed and keep your nose pointed at them, bathe in the sweet caps lock tears.![]()
