Just sharing my experience, in case anybody else has similar issues.
Was playing ED last night with no problems.
Just went to start the game up to see how the CGs were getting on, lasted about 30 seconds and then my PC crashed.
Not just a CTD. Complete PC lock-up.
Tried the same thing 4 times and the same thing happened.
Was getting ready to blame it on ED but I thought I'd see if Fallout 4 worked and the same thing happened.
Uh-oh! [where is it]
Ran a couple of GFX benchmark/test utilities and none of them revealed any problems.
Okay, before I panic, I need to go through the motions.
The AMD Catalyst software is supposed to automatically check for updates and I check for myself about once every couple of weeks but I thought I'd have another look.
Anyway, turns out that an update IS available, I installed it and (so far) my problems seem to have gone away.
Had a 15 minute blast with F4 and there's no problem.
ED has been running for half an hour and it's been fine.
In fact, the shadows and some of the textures look noticeably crisper than they did.
Dunno why this suddenly started causing my PC to die today but the new driver seems to have fixed it.
