hmmm 20-30 fps in stations kinda sucks at 1920x1080 on max settings.. I guess ill have to look at upgrading

Bear in mind that was posted before the recent patches - that was on PB1. These days it's much, much improved - I would say 70-80 fps at 1920x1080 max settings.

The 7850 is basically a slightly slower 270x, ask about that card and everyone will say works well.

Hi Zallibik,

Sounds like we've got a similar setup, if anything you have a faster cpu. I'm on Win 7 64-bit and use 1920 x 1080.
My card's an oc'd Asus version with a 1ghz clock.

On max settings I get good to very good frame rates around/in stations, no noticable stuttering, and general in space-ness. Combat is good and the only stuttering is network related.

The only place it struggles a bit is in the asteroid rings, fps gets really choppy there. It was fine in PB1 but it's struggled since they darkened the rings and shadows for PB2, badly enough that I've been avoiding them as a result, (although turning the detail down makes them run fine). I've ticketed it so hopefully it'll improve for the 29th.

Yeah easily good enough. I have i5 750 and a 7870 and 60fps everywhere.

Bought a gigabyte Radeon R9 280x OC 3gb ... wasn't happy with how the single player missions ran, I dunno if they are limited to certain FPS but a lot of the time I was only achieving 30FPS...

so had to upgrade.

I'm running a radeon HD 4850 with 2 gigs of ram and I am having no problems at all. I guessthe guys are wizards with the optimising!
