Hardware & Technical Rage Quit! How could they?

I mean, how could Saitek dare to have such shoddy quality control on the X-52 Pro Throttle? The piece of junk simply broke while hunting a RES site for the current CG. I barely managed to hobble to the next station with keyboard throttle control.

Full of rage and hate (towards Saitek), I quit!

Well, at least for now and until they replace the stick under warranty. I guess it will be Pillars of Eternity and Witcher 3 for the next two to three weeks. Forceful break from my Elite addiction

Well, did you really expect another "I quit because I could not be bothered to fly with insurance" thread? :p

It's Elite DANGEROUS, not Elite Fluffy Cushion! So switch to Group or Solo, never fly without insurance, and try flying an Anaconda instead.

...oh wait, it's not a ragequit thread?

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Nobody's ever seen one of those before!

Certainly not. Lol.

On topic, I have an x52 pro and so far no issues. My previous stick, a regular x52, did indeed develop some issues. Here's hoping I don't get a repeat...

While I have no doubt that it's possible to rip throttle of x52 pro - I hardly imagine how. Using it for around half a year now and quite satisfied with the purchase. You sure you didn't been overzealous with it?

I am hardly ham-fisted. My operation of flight stick and throttle is light enough that I don't even need to fix the devices to the desk in any way, not even by using suction cups.

There is a clear dividing line, apparently:

Old Saitek gear, prior to acquisition by MadCatz: solid, high quality, lasts for many years

New Saitek gear: you play the lottery. If you win, as above. If you lose, their stuff will fail in weeks/ months. Your odds in the lottery are such that you should keep the original packing nearby for the return.

It took four days for MadCatz to acknowledge the RMA, going back this weekend.
