Yeah, heaven forbid anyone actually complain about anything! There are half a million players after all, so what individuals think is clearly completely irrelevant! And it's not like we're paying customers. FDev did all this out of the goodness of their hearts!
In order for this to be sarcasm, your parody of the complainant would have to be accurate. If exploring was any of those things, people wouldn't complain about it.

Indeed another one of those irony boys. Rather than fanboying on the forums lets all admit that game is bare-bone compare to what was promised. I'm not talking about planetary landing as it was already said that it will be an expansion long before game was even out. I'm talking about the most BASIC of features that should be added in alpha, for example the wing system, selecting specific planets, more detail missions and even powerplay should be all from the start.
Since the release of Powerplay this game is now in status 1.0.0 for most of the people on the forum. There are still a lot of things missing from this game that would make it exciting and hook up people for more than a week. I know i will be criticized because since the release of Elite forum had changed dramatically and it slowly becoming worse than Star Citizen forums ( which says a lot ).
But lets be honest STILL the most profitable high end way of earning money is trading and nothing in the game gets even CLOSE to the numbers it provided.
Exploring is just observing new textures load without anything around them that could provide depth to the game. Type in Google " planets " and search for Water World type planet it will be exactly the same. ( this will be fixed when planetary landing will be added adding incredible amount of interesting features and possibility to the shear exploration ).
Let's not talk about combat because that is not important part of the game ..... till you learn that Elite focuses now on Arena type game, nerfs repair cost to hell slowly making Elite biggest in the world pvp game. ( number of post on this forum showcasing how people are disappointed about it is incredible, more and more players go to Solo Mode because PVP is getting more common but i do understand why, there is just nothing interesting to do. Sure there is a lot of things you can do but no matter if you have 10 channels or 1000 channels if they are not interesting people won't spend time on them. )
Some people can deny this as much as they want but if Frontier won't inform players on too what they can expect from expansion and more less specific date of it appearing people will just leave. There are interesting games coming like " No man sky " even " Star Citizen " which god knows when it will be finished but i rather have a freaking cut scene that lands me on a small level ( chunk of a planet ) rather than absolutely nothing.
Maybe Frontier is scared that people will leave instantly if they say that Planetary landing will be at the end of 2016 or at the begging of 2017 MAYBE but at least they would safe their reputation from a lot of already disappointed beta and alpha backers which some of them spend hundredths of Euro or more for this game to have successful kickstarter.

That's fair enough, but I'm not sure people have misunderstood the post. There's a butt to the joke, and in this case those the target of snidey sarcasm would appear to be people with legitimate, rational criticisms - i.e. anyone who thinks exploring gets boring - rather than just enraged teenagers humiliating themselves with public rage-quits, for whom a bit of mockery would probably represent an opportunity for personal growth. I just don't think taking the mick out of anyone with anything negative to say, i.e. lumping all these people together, is helpful or constructive.

I know right...Everyone is Critiquing him and his post to the nth degree. It was a post poking fun at others in a non-trolling way. If it was funny, laugh at it, maybe rep him. If you didnt find it funny then dont laugh. This thread has become a dark and moody place all of a sudden.
I laughed at it. It doesnt mean that I dont think that certain things need to change, or that I believe the game is perfect. I just thought it was funny. This thread went from light humor to dark and depressing very quickly
