Ragequit!

So... after mining away for a couple of hours filling up the hold on my cobra with some precious metals, I head off to sell them at a local high tech system a couple of jumps away.

Upon arriving at the system I fly to the orbital in anticipation of increasing my bank balance above my insurance cost (I know I know!) with some left over for an upgrade or two.

Despite having docked many, many times before, this time I actually forgot to request docking permission before attempting entry into the orbital. I was made aware of this fact when I got the 1000 credit fine for trespassing flash up on the screen! Not a big deal I thought I'll just reverse out and request docking and pay off the fine when I'm inside.

Apparently firing your mining lasers by accident into the orbital seams to upset them for some reason! Next thing I know I'm staring at the smoking remains of my cobra... Arrrrggh, commence operation rage quit!

Luckily the bank loan covered my losses and I'll be back on later to try and not repeat the experience! Had a good old chuckle to myself about it all

Big shout out to all the dev's, absolutely loving this game, can't believe it's been 30 years since a mate and I spent many nights playing on the ZX spectrum trying to make it to elite.

LOL. Nice one. I took my new Viper out for a spin, with some cargo to fill a couple of missions for nice profits. The standard thrusters on that thing suck compared to the A-rated thrusters I was used to on my Eagle. Needless to say, I didn't clear the station wall with my standard departure routine and promptly exploded - thus ending my maiden flight.

Yeah the only time I forgot to ask for docking permission was after a mining expedition. Mining left me too exhausted mentally to think straight, didnt have that much cargo anyway :S

You may want to sell that Cobra for a Hauler/Adder until you have enough money to:
1) Pay off your loan.
2) Afford your Cobra insurance.

My insurance is around 320K Cr! I couldn't imagine losing an 8.5 million Cobra all due to the fact I didn't cover the insurance

LOL! Maybe your mining laser actually hit some officers lounge and "mined" them out of it. Made a hole in the wall and actually pulled out an officer into 0 grav? THATs why they smoked you.

I also once forgott to ask for docing while I was a in my T7 with 3Mio. worth of Palladium in the back. I did not try to reverse and go out, I did go in the Menu an exit the Game as fast as I could ^^

That was nerve-wrecking. After playing for a month and never forgett it I still don't know how I could make such a mistake.
