Ragequitted 1 day ago :(

this is a mental cleaning process for me.
The other night was playing everything was on plan, was on my way to (i think) Epsilon Indi, cargo almost full of rares in my Python. dock at station ,eagerly surveying markets to get the last few tonnes of rares, before I head of selling. Game becomes unresponsive, I log of an in again......
:eek::eek::eek: Iam now in space with my oxygen counter going down from 5 min. ???. Controls not working all off, got things working in a flurry and headed to station, not outpost, but station, I could not hail it or it did not respond, I don't know. Then I blew up.
:( I have not got a clue.
I must admit I quitted and I was, well lets say upset:p . I still have not logged in as I am still angry.
Yes I have plenty insurance, np at all, I just don't understand it at all. I do understand when you get whacked because you put your nose out too far, but when you have not got a clue to what went wrong......
I am still thinking I was docked, lost connection, reconnected and was in space with 5 min s of oxygen and everything turned off.
This game is really scary
I think I will log in tomorrow, I am trying to get a grip on it, but still : how , why ?

Cheers Cmdr's

It is not an bug, it is an feature, by random destruction of ships Frontier creates an money sink and time sink to prolong use of game
That is at least my theory

Only thing you can do is submit a ticket to try and get what you lost back.

LOL. Don't think so because other people have posted about a bug where you randomly exploded. Still funny though :)

This is odd. I have yet to experience these issues. I have been playing the game since December and not once has the game became unresponsive, laggy or studdery. Buttery smooth with the very uncommon fps slowdown. Honestly This game is one of the best optimized games I have played at launch in a long time. Why can't more game designers release games like this?

So the bugs with the stations still not fixed?

after never having an issue with stations I read in the devlog that they fixed the invisible entrance doors to not close anymore whithout reason an kill ships.

an then as I was entering a station with my T9 suddenly my shield goes down with scraping noises and I take slight hull damage.

I didn't bother but you should fill a ticked and you may get compensated for your loss.

There was a saying in DayZ that became a tag line "Don't get attached to your stuff". The same really can be said with ED albeit to a lesser extent and whilst I really don't want this to become another solo v open debate I think that attachment to "stuff" prevents you from having more fun. You've died in solo and are gutted, lighten up a little and enjoy the process of getting your excrement back together again. In open, each death brings a new opportunity be it revenge or looking for a new route to exploit but its possible to enjoy the process once the initial "oh bollox" moment has passed.

Don't get "too" attached to your stuff!

If you have insurance and presumably enough credits for more cargo, what's the problem?

Minor annoyance. Log back in and carry on Cmdr.

A few times as soon as I pass the letter box, my thrusters become unresposive and the ship tries to swap ends and my shields fall. I thus end up crashing into my dock or elsewhere. Ive been fortunate in that Ive still had some hull left each time but I am at a loss to figure out why that happens. I dont do anything different to the zillion of other times I dock. Its almost as if it goes into silent running mode. No warning though.

That sounds like a really unfortunate bug. It also kind of highlights why we can't have an Ironman mode yet.

Definitely log a ticket, I had a Clipper full of rare goods go boom through no fault of my own, took them a while but I got my money in the end. A nice unexpected 6 million in my account, helped pay for the FSD on my Type-9.

They have added a lot a telemetry data, so they can tell if someone has screwed up or if it's a genuine random glitch.
