Railroad Crossing - Suggestion

I had a look if this had been suggested before. If someone already has thought about this i would support that.

I wonder if barriers can be made triggerable. In the current build it works unless there are at least two paths (one open, one closed) guests could reach their goal, because they will just turn around. If there is only one they walk right over it.

Wow, that would be awesome! I'd love to be able to use working railroad crossing in Planet Coaster :D [heart]
 
What a fantastic solution to the Problem :D My only addition would be that people should stop when the Train goes through, not turn around as they would do now. I wouldn't turn around when waiting to let the train pass is quicker ;)
 
Glad some other members like it too.

I am not sure if this is a highly wanted feature though when i search the forum. But it would be a solution to please at least those who would like to have it. And i think it is the most flexible one. Just use the amount of barriers to block the complete path.
Guests not turning around would be nice, but i think it will be much harder to do, because it needed another kind of barrier here.
I tried to aim for the "easiest" idea. Wouldn't be sad though if it was in.

Indeed - great idea.

Be nice if we had some triggerable gates that acted as barriers in the same way that this is done - only more visual.

We'd also need a bell clanging and a train whistle.

Railroad crossings have been on my wishlist since forever.

would love to see those come to PC !!
 
You can make fake crossings now, with crossbuck signals from the workshop and even raise the land under the track at crossing site to have just the tops of the rails show through the path. You must do this before placing path, and must delete section of track, place path, and rebuild track through path. You can have triggered crossing bell sounds, if you have adventure pack. The only thing we would need then to stop people when the train is coming is triggerable barriers.
 
I love this idea!. Another use would be in ride ques. It could be timed to stop peeps in a "pre-show" room and play a video, and then allow them to pass once the video is complete.

Not sure what the idea is. So you would like to block people within a queue? Did you test if it works and how the guests react? That would be nice to have though.

I haven't tried it, because it would be pointless without it being trigger-able, but yes the idea is to trap them in a que for a set amount of time while a pre-show video is played. I am thinking "Tower of Terror", where you enter the library and watch a video about what happened to the guests in the elevator, and then proceed further into the que to board the ride once the video is over.
