Ran out of fuel :/

Just took a trip back up to Kaushpoos to pick up my mining T9. Fueled up and plotted a route to BD+03 2338 (50LY away) Solid Yellow line with 32 Tonnes of fuel, more than enough. Two jumps in and and I get a fuel low warning & the main tank is empty.. I'm out in the middle of nowhere, system I'm in has an outpost.

The ship has enough fuel to jump 7.28LY, the closest system with a station is luckily 7.26LY away... The station however is orbiting a star that involves a very long supercruise.

So what the heck happened? I've never experienced something like this since I started a year ago.. Not even sure I can make it

I had the same thing the other day but I just kept going, it was telling me the main fuel tank was empty for 5 jumps.

Exactly what is involved in contacting the Fuel Rats? Is it a thread on these forums or do they have their own URL? I'm asking for the day when I run out of fuel (I'm obsessive about fuel scooping*, but one never knows).

*I ran out of fuel once in Beta and swore "Never again!"

stop what you are doing, log off, and contact the Fuel rats.. you are up in running in notime..

Where is the contact page for them? Main tank is empty but the SC tank is half full, I'm thinking that should survive the 300,000LS trip to the station.

Fuel scoop *cough*

Normally, I'd agree. 777's had plenty of experience out in the black. The solid line with your plot is a bit concerning, as that indicates you have enough juice to make it to your target. Then to short change you mid-journey? Hmm....

My iClipper keeps telling me my main tank is empty, but there is plenty there.
.
I think something has changed, because the trip from Kaushpoos to 38 Lyncis used to leave me with enough fuel for an economy return trip. But suddenly became very little with the empty warning.

300k LS trip to a station with main tank empty? I'm thinking, "yeah...NO."

There are some crazy stories of Fuel Rat rescues. One guy got saved at Sagittarius A*. That's going above and beyond.

You have bought something or got some Jobs after plotting the course? Greenhorn mistake... I doubt it was the case. A bug?
