Random crash -> hard restart

Hi all,

I've scoured the forums and internet looking for a similar problem and I haven't been successful so I'm starting a thread in hopes someone has experienced this issue before and can advise.

The game loads perfectly fine and runs successfully now that I've lowered the resolution to low. It was ridiculously slow on high but that's not the problem.

My problem is that, at random points, the game will freeze my entire system. No mouse, no keyboard, no ctrl-alt-delete to shut the game down from the application list. I have to hard restart my system and I know that isn't the best option. But at this point, it's my only option.

My computer is only 6 months old and was purchased to specifically play Fallout 4. I know it's good. I know it's fast. I know it should be able to handle the game. But PC is the only game I have this problem with.

Has anyone experienced this?
If so, were you able to resolve the issue?
Could it be a problem with Windows 10?

Thanks in advance!

What are your PC specs? Here is the official minimum system requirements from Frontier's site for this game:

https://www.frontierstore.net/planet-coaster-earlybird.html

•Operating System (OS): Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10 (64-bit only)
•Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-2300 (or better), AMD FX-4300 (or better)
•Memory (RAM): 8GB DDR3 Ram
•Graphics Card (GPU): Nvidia GTX 560 / ATI Radeon 7850 2GB (or better)
•Storage Space: 6GB
•DirectX: Version 11

If you want to play this game on 1920x1080 on High Settings, I would recommend a GTX 970 or AMD R9 390 or better/equivalent, and a QUAD CORE i5/i7 with above 3.0Ghz clock speed or AMD FX 8350.

I have a white HP 15-ab222tx laptop which has Windows 10, AMD R7 M360, and intel Core i5-6200u and 8GB DDR3L RAM, and it struggles to play this game. So 3 months ago I invested in my first custom desktop PC which will primarily be my PC gaming device. It has an Intel Core i7-6700k processor, Sapphire Nitro AMD R9 390 overclocked GPU, 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz HyperX RAM, a Kingston Fury HyperX SSD for the OS and my games, and Windows 10, and it can play this game in 1920x1080 High settings easily. Invest in a custom desktop PC with high end hardware, if you can. Yes it will break your budget, but better hardware will make this game run a lot prettier and smoother and better, than hardware which struggles to do so. Windows 10 is fine it's updated by Microsoft regularly.

If it regularly freezes/crashes, you should consider what hardware your PC is using. The game is still only in Alpha version stage so sometimes it may crash, but it shouldn't crash a lot if your PC has good hardware. The system requirements for this game IS rather high, because of the game's content.
