OUYA UNBOXING

I can relate to that...

It would connect, but then it did a compulsory update that it would not complete.. 14 attempts later still no joy.

Keeps saying connection lost..., on the 29th attempt at the update it worked.. and after that no problems.

But I nearly boxed it back up... and frankly.. i would send it back anyway..

Why what's wrong with it. I just google'd it and it seems pretty cool. XBMC runs on it. I can see fun games and emulators made for it. And its just about 100 euro's.

i think its more of a reference to how troublesome its been getting the thing to work right, even psykokow had his problems.

The issue is.... what is it? Why is it? is it pretty yes...small yes.. is it a cheap multimedia player? could be? games machine for young kids.. it looks like it..

It feels cheap, the controller is horrible looking with nice features (glidepad) but all in all... WHY?

My brother bought it, and had it sent to me... I will be giving him it back for him to play with.. On once...... and that I am honestly affraid is the end of my interest in it..

I have an LG smart TV adapter box that kept me even less interested, though i use it for plex... when it works.

Other than that I can't be arsed with crappy app based bull crap on a kindle or ipad... Kindle = books + plex + love film etc movie/tv things..

Im getting old and grumpy.. :D

I dont get this? *puzzled*

The current generation of consoles was pretty much about PS3 vs. Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 had some design flaws which caused it to overheat, giving an errormessage known as "The Red Ring of Death"

Some estimate that up to 40% of the early Xbox consoles suffered from this.

The "O" button mentioned in the above advert is a button on the Playstation controller (as seen above).

The Xbox 360 is known for developing cooling problems, when it stops working the ring of lights around the logo turn red - this is known as 'the red ring of death'

from Wikipedia:

The Xbox 360 video game console is subject to a number of technical problems and failures that can render it unusable. However, many of the issues can be identified by a series of glowing red lights flashing on the face of the console; the three flashing red lights (nicknamed the "Red Ring of Death" or the "RRoD")[1] being the most infamous.
