Random rotation needs a two axis only rotation

Edit: I mean a one axis only option.

So if I want to ctrl+x a bunch of plants, I want them rotating on the axis parallel to the ground. So you don't end up with plants coming up out of the ground at weird angles looking like this:

I do know this was an option in Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. I'm not sure why it isn't here.

Oh god, I just tried it, yes, that's annoying. The best solution for now is to place them by hand with duplicate (not advanced move duplicate) with align to surface turned on so it only rotates on the surface axes, but even then they try to align to the surface of other plants at all weird angles if they're too close.

yeah, it can be annoying but i dont see a solution, since with rocks you actually may want them to rotate on all three axis, so with plants it is annoying as ever but gets a bit easier with this option so make sure you only use it on flat surfaces and hit allign to surface.

The solution is to have an option for it. There was a toggle for exactly this in Planet Zoo.

Here's how it worked in planet zoo, for anyone interested. The "random rotation" option would rotate exclusively on the axis of the ground, where the "random rotation all" setting would randomly rotate on all 3 axes. It's bewildering to me that they don't have it set up this way in PC2 because it's the same engine.
