Random suggestions from the IRC chan #elite-dangerous

Number of suggestions that have been made on #elite-dangerous on quakenet, these are from the chan regulars including myself, stuff we've just discussed randomnly over the last couple of months.

1- Q Ships, ability to modify a trader class ship and turn it into a military vessel, you'd lose cargo capacity (either significant amount, or all of it).
2- Exploration, find lost expeditions, colonies, abandoned outposts (or stations, might be over kill though). When finding a lost colony, possibly have a mini mission to return back to settled space, spread the news of it's discovery, bring it food , medicine and equipment .. possible rep gain with the faction that sent out the colony in the first place.
3- Ability to salvage modules and parts from wrecks. Historical data, or scanned data from an exploration ship (random map data/scanned planets from stars in the vicinity of the find)
4- Find old ships from years gone by, maybe allow salvage (some kind of tractor mechanism, or slaving the lost ship's navcomp to yours so it follows you through supercruise, but no function or help in a battle).
5- Ability to drop mines disguised as cargo, make the pirates life a little more interesting.
6- smugglers outposts (built into asteroids?), either for a combat mission (clear them out / bring htem to justice) or a place to sell goods and gain rep.
