Really enjoying ED, but I've shelved it for a short while, waiting for a couple of things.

The first being the galaxy map having way points and to stop plotting routes and accepting missions to places I don't have permits for.

The second being when I get the x52 Pro I won in Frontier's flight assist off video competition a last month!

In any case, I was just looking on the store at picking up a second copy of Elite for when friends come over, and, noticing the paint jobs, thought how cool it would be having colours specific to clans/groups of friends. I had a flash of people in UK ships fighting other country paint jobs, or even red vs blue. Flying your team colours!

I think it would be more of a decal rather than paint job. Custom decals would do well.

Shame the targeted ship hologram doesn't change colour. Would be nice to know at a glance what faction someone belongs to during a fight.

Say there's a 3 on 3 human fight going on. If your friend shoots them, do you immediately show up as red on their radar? Did I read correctly that you can be penalised for your friend's actions?
