Random WORMHOLES yes or no

Sorry, but no. It would mess with the current frameshift drive balance too much.

If this would have been implemented from the beginning, then maybe. I would not have had a problem with temporary wormholes which would mean flying to different locations to be able to jump to a different system and thus a more complex navigation mechanic where you actually have to plot a route in advance or adapt accordinlgy (eg: jump to a system, purchase nav data for the next available wormhole, jump it, make the junction with the following active wormhole before it closes, etc.)

I can just hear the FDL pilots crying as they are thrown into a system that they cannot escape from on the other side of the galaxy! For this alone I think it's a marvelous idea! :D

lol

I'm in favor of wormholes as long as is up to the player to go through them. Not forced into them.

Also, I don't find the way you travel that slow. TO get to the other side of the galaxy in a few days seems rather fast so wormholes...no.

Yes, but only in deep outer space (not in the bubble) where CMDR's should have the necessary modules fitted to survive and of course your own choice as to if you want to enter it

It could be fun if you had a special moduls to detect mhole and use them to jump to unknown part of the galaxy :D

Witchspace anomaly or rift or something would be cool (we already have FTL terminology in the game, best to use the existing elements).
We already have temporary ones when a capital ship hyperspaces.
As long as they are entered by the player's choice it should be fine.

Perhaps you could see them in supercruise and when you drop from SC into one it catapults you into witchspace.

CMDR CTCParadox

I'd rather see a FSD failure and dropping you somewhere in the middle of nowhere, Potentially no star, maybe some anomalies, like a homeless black whole or planet wandering trough the galaxy. Generation ships, etc.

even though ftl travel only exists in game because we need it too, the mechanics and systems we have in place to accommodate it, also provide room to play with it, without breaking immersion, such as your suggestion.. wormholes on the other hand.. i think that's more SC or NMS.

and we do know that the process can be interrupted, and also that they can fail in a catastrophic manner.. lost president anyone.

Wormholes are not real dude!

As far as I know, wormholes are real (and everywhere), but random wormholes we could travel though are not.

wormholes exits in the fabric of space time on a smaller than atomic scale, in order to use one, you have to expand it with tremendous focused power, therefore, the could not be random, but would be manufactured (if its to be large enough for matter to travel though it).. I think that's correct :)
