Randomnly taking heat from switch to Silent running while in combat

The whole day today I have noticed that almost every time I fight an NPC for some unknown reason Silent running gets activated and I start taking heat damage
I know its not me pushing the wrong button on my joystick but I almost blew up several times because of this

Do NPCs now have a method to hack your ship and switch silent running on?

Nope has to be a mis-button mash.. no other way for it to get activated..

Are you taking heat damage cuz of weapons firing? are you sure its SR engaging, as in your hear the ships voice saying so?

No I am not pushing any buttons and its not about weapon heat because I clearly hear: SILENT RUNNING...then taking heat damage and go !!! then have to press a special key on the keyboard to hear SIGNATURE RESTORED or something
It happened to me also in a station while I was undocking an once while docking
There is no silent running mapped to my joystick so that s why I know it is not me pushing a button by mistake especially when I do not touch my keyboard while dogfighting

Well this is odd, Double check your bindings, if everything completely clean and no possible way for it to be a mis button, i guess all you can do is submit a bug report on it. Very strange..

What stick do you use? I had an issue with my x-55 ghost pressing buttons. Turns out USB 2.0 isn't great for that stick. As soon as I put the stick and throttle into a 3.0 USB port, the problem vanished.

do you use multi-monitors?

since 1.3, since i goto a second monitor for web browsing or whatever, whenever i click back to the main/game screen my menu up/down/left/right adjusts my pips even though there is nothing at all assigned to those keys for the pip's.

i keep meaning to submit a but report but simply....i dont think it'll ever be fixed like all the other previous issues i reported.
