Rank free Clipper?

The problem with ranks is the way FD have made it, you have to grind in order to get the Cutter or Corvette within your lifetime, if you don't get long to play, like me. If I just did mission here and there (like I used too) I still wouldn't have access to the Imperial Courier, or FDS.
Currently I have access to the FGS, and almost the Clipper. But I'll stop there, as I have no use for the vette or Cutter ATM.

IMHO it wouldn't be such a big deal were it not for the grind involved in ranking with the Powers. If that were made less.....grindy.... I think people wouldn't care so much that certain ships were gated that way.

And yes, full disclosure, I'm only Baron and I'd love to get a Cutter. But I'm not going to grind to get one.

I think an ideal would be a 2 Tier system whereby "With Required Rank" price = "X" and "Without Required Rank" price = "Y".

People then have a choice.

LOL...are those Imperials trying another recruitment ploy?

They know the best of the best are with the Galactic Federal command...even when they start offering 2 for 1 deals on these imp ships nothing will change.

Speaking of the clipper...after about 3 seconds of attack from a kick butt Fed ship, typically the capt feints and loses control and it starts into its death roll .,..anyone notice the crucifix marking aka on board headstone on its belly? Apparently even the subc mind of the designer knew what where these ships were heading

Uhm... no? I make Millions trading Imperial Slaves in my Cutter, i dont want to loose that.

I was being sarcastic , nothing should be free and in fact I think more permits and walls should be put up in game.
It would make every player look more unique.
I think we should only be able to have fed or imp

Yeah, I don't grind ever. I got the clipper and iCourier when they were free and rank for fed just sort of came along as part of the course from playing. The biggest ships will be closed to me indefinitely but I can't say as I care all that much but for those who do, I can see the gripe. Hopefully as the game develops so will the missions.
