Rank-locked permit systems - any reason to bother going?

With the obvious exception of Sol, is there any reason to bother going to the systems that get unlocked as part of the Fed/Emp rank grinds?

Specifically, I'm talking about Achenar, Summerland, Facece, Vega, Beta Hydri, PLX 695, Ross 128, Exbeur and Hors. Is there anything in any of those systems that makes the visit worthwhile?

Some of them, yes.

Achenar is great if you want Imperial Missions - every faction there is Imperial.
Sol is great if you want Federation Missions - every faction there is Federation.

Other than that... um... honestly there's so little difference between one system and another, and so many systems out there... there's not much reason to go anywhere that isn't mission-related unless you just want to wander.

I think there are (or were) the remains of a capitol ship in Feaces (or however you say it) which got blown up by something "big".

You could look at that I suppose. It was a story plot point from way back which seemed to go nowhere.

Good to know. The rank grinding where I'm at is way too slow right now. Need to to check out Achenar when I get back.

Alioth has Marco Qwent, who you need to introduce you to the dirty drive guy.

The missile lady is also in a permit system IIRC.

Edit: Shinrarta Dezhra has everything for sale at 10% off (except enhanced thrusters).

True, but many other systems have that property.

Sol has that female colonel which modded interdictors and I think Achenar has Tiana Fortune with mic mods.
