Rank up missions

Anyone else notice that rank up missions don't seem to always work? Seems to be around 50% of the time I'll complete a rank up mission and nothing happens. It's rather frustrating.

nope just that they give out way too much Rank at one time

I've gotten 12 of them. But only 6 have worked.

It's possible to collect two or more rank up missions at a time, but this won't give you more than one rank progression. I've noticed that when I took rank up missions, if I didn't complete them straight away but instead went to other stations, I'd be offered rank-up missions again (so could take several).

I've never taken a rank-up mission that didn't work, except in the above situation.

I could be possible that it's giving you rank up missions for the rank you have currently have, always check when accepting them.

Though I did find that exiting and reentering the mission board got it to correct itself if that happened

I wait for the easy ones like a data delivery or acquire a commodity. They work every time.

I accepted my last rankup mission ever (finished with Admiral and King) and had to kill 24 pirates. I thought ok thats kinda worthy but forgot to check the target system. So I ended with hunting them at a nav beacon and by interdicting them. Ouch
All the missions worked for me, one by one of course.

Check the rank the mission will give you before you take it ,you could theroretically get 20 missions giving the same rank so only one would actually get you to the next rank,the other 19 would just give you normal mission rewards.

Rank up using the only mechanic Frontier know....RNG!!

They only work if you hand them in when you are IN the hanger.

From what I've heard if you advance too quickly and pile up two ranks to 100%, you receive rank up missions for your first rank but not the second. re-logging should fix that. More evidence that the reputation advance rate isn't intended behavior.

Was always the same,i did the fed rank in 2.4,rank missions worked same as now.

So no,its not evidence of anything
