Rank will not update after multiple federal navy missions

EDIT: For those still having this issue: I fixed it by loading into Horizons and taking and aborting the rank up mission. I then reloaded into Horizons, did a rank up mission and quit again and loaded into Odyssey. I was then at the proper rank and have been able to progress to Duke since then.


Hi all, for the last three days, I've been stuck on Squire, despite completing multiple federal navy missions to rank up. Each time I complete one, i get the message saying i ranked up (as shown here)

Is this because of the ongoing odyssey problems? I didn't have any problems ranking up from the previous ranks in the same session; I must've one ~100 missions since initially thinking i ranked up to Knight. I've tried resetting PC, flying to different systems, etc. Been an on going issue for the past three days, any advice?

The rank up missions don't even appear for me. I've been stuck at 100% for days now and jumping around looking for any federal navy missions at all.
Just won't appear.

Same here. I've been stuck at a Fed rank of 100% for the last five days. I've jumped to multiple stations, logged on, logged off, switched between solo, private and open, made sure that I'm Allied, blahblahblah.

NOTHING. This is just getting thoroughly frustrating now. As if the grind to get a damn Corvette wasn't tedious enough now you won't even give me the rank up mission?

Yeah i feel your pain.. worst part for me is that this is on my second cmdr as i normally play on console. I am getting the rank up missions though and have completed like 10 of them. I've gotten the message that i've been promoted to Knight each time, but it doesn't update and I just keep getting the rank up missions for the same rank.

i haved ranked up 3 ranks since odyssey , i had bought the corvette today, i used ceos to sothis and back, since update and it has worked.

I ranked up 3 times as well since the update no problem, but then hit a brick wall when trying to go past squire. Right panel still says 100% Squire, but i get the messages in the comms panel after completing the fed navy missions that i've ranked up.

I began today with my missions, and did quite a bunch (>500).
After each rank, i got my rankmissions.
As soon as i did them, i ranked up.
But since i am a knight, i did 6 rankmissions, and after each one, i get the message that i am a knight now.

I relogged, did single player, online etc.
But nothing works.
My ingame name, is the same "AdmiralNice".

If somebody got a solution to this obvious bug, it would be great when letting me know.

I accepted a new rankmission.
After that, i quit ed odyssey and started ed horizon.
My mission was gone, and i was at the rank "Squire" instead of "Knight".
Then i started ed odyssey again, and now i am again stuck in the rank of "Knight".
Nah, at least i tried ... @frontiers, get your game fixed.

I heard/read somewhere rank progrssion is broken in Odyssey, not sure about Horizons.

My mate is on the rank grinds as well,. think he's done about 20 knights. Hopefully when they fix it a few rank up missions in succession will get yourself and him back on track, and to the more beautfiul space truck (than the Type 9).

Hopefully that is true, in which case carry on. However if it is not true, I see a salty horizon.
To avoid my own tears, I did the Alioth system permit today instead. Just in case.

Ummmm....Squire and Knight are IMPERIAL ranks, not FEDERAL - you sure you're looking at the right box?

They're confirming this as an issue, I've also had the same problem. I'm considering going into Horizons to see if I can rank up and if it'll carry over - https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/34754

Yeah, no ****. They're still labeled federal Navy missions.

I loaded in to Horizon, then did two rankmissions.
On the First i got to "Knight" and on the second i ranked up to "Lord".
After that i log in to Odyssey, and i am at "Lord".

Thank "Lord"

And a side effect: I can now accept the community quest ... it was not possible before.
