Can anyone tell me why it is that i have 95 kills in game yet under my name on my posts it says "Mostly harmless" ? I`m pretty sure it should say "Above average". Is it because i got the kills in solo mode and not open play?

The forum ranks are based on how many posts you made here. Ranks in game come with Beta 2.

The forum ranks relate to number of posts not kills in game. Just post more and your rank will go up.

Considering the time we spend in the forum instead of in the game the correlation between the forum ranking and in-game skill might actually be the opposite...

Doesn't apply to me of course!

I see..............

so when I went off to the FDS and got my first kills (normally only a trader) of 75, and my rank went from harmless to mostly harmless, it was pure coincidence as I had also recently joined the forum (testing since PB, but did not join forum) and had started posting.

Well I feel an idiot. There's no way I'm gonna let people know I have been going back there often, am now up to 800 kills and still thinking wow the jump to the next rank is something else. I'll just look even more stupid.

Still, on the up side , boy can I look after myself.
