So I´m currently running missions between two systems to get my BASK on. I moved down to a recommended system with my Python to do passenger missions between two systems with two bases each in them. (No, this is not some Quince-level payout stuff, this is mostly for rank). So I´m running passengers in between and doing donations to the empire factions whenever they are available at a mission board. Managed to get to master within a few hours of running this back and forth. My original goal was the iCourier, but now I´ve decided to make my way at least to the iClipper while I´m in the rank-grind mindset anyways. My goal is to own a Cutter, so I may just rank all the way up, but that depends on how many % of my brain has turned to mush when I reach Baron.
Anyways, my question is this: The missions available are generally scan jobs, mining rush and commodity acquirement for the factions. Would any of these be worth taking in addition to the passenger missions, even just to make a few more credits? Since about 80% of my payout goes into donations, I only made two mil credits or so while ranking. Or is it better just to focus on the ranking and make money elsewhere later? (I have about 180 systems to go on the Road to Riches, and I love doing trade/bounty hunting CG´s, so making money isn´t an obstacle). I´m not looking for some "Get rich fast"-schemes, just wondering if I can maximize the effectiveness of what I´m currently doing since i.e scan jobs won´t be too much extra work for me, and I already have an SRV bay fitted (gotta love that Python)!
