For empire, best is to take your trading ship (at least 250t cargo) and then go to Aditi.

From there, take only the surface missions towards diamond vision at 12 ly (all legal) + the ones called data something. These missions are spamming a lot so after multiple refresh (around one hour), cargo is full so you can go deliver. Around 12% increase each trip at Marquis rank with cargo filled around 85%.

That s what i have done to get to Duke.

Advise : data missions have often a short timer so start to take them only your cargo tank is filled at 50%.

Payout is bad when using this method. That is the inconvenient of it.

Hope it helps.

Do you recommend Anaconda or Python for this? Cheers

Sorry, I just spent a good 30 minutes at Aditi looking for these missions. I've seen 2 of them. Both were low/low and had a <1 hour expiration timer. I have no idea how you got them to stack but this is certainly not universal.

I've also checked both stations there.

Anyone have any guesses on whether or not pilot federation rank has any effect on how much a mission contributes to naval rank progress? Does a smuggling mission that requires elite help more than a smuggling mission that only requires peddler?

and what is the better way to rank up for a new player? Trade mission and courrier mission to rank up the empire and the trade rank? and then trying for the long smuggling run?

or just looking for charity mission?

It was from SMJL Central. And it worked fine for me.

OMG I just spent 2 weeks getting 16% on Baron and now with this method I got 20% in 30 minutes! Yippee yay I am already saying hello to my "soon to have" new Cutter :D Thanks !!!

Fehu long hauling

Rank increase from Lord to whatever comes after Lord

102 algae back to the bubble: 1%

52 illegal personal weapons back to the bubble in 30 mins (got interdicted by security vessels 3 times in uncharted space for no fine): 0%

3 stolen biowaste on a no scan mission back to the bubble (never got interdicted): 24%

Seems legit. If you want to rank up fast, it seems the newer missions are the way to go.

I made the big mistake trying to do long range transport missions in Fehu, too..

I accepted 5 missions which filled up ~330t of my Conda (it's a no scoop fit - 128t fuel)... after doing like 50-55 jumps (-> fehu and back to the bubble) this is what I got:
- 3 missions gave no rank progression at all, since the destination faction didn't belong to the Empire!? (I'm pretty sure they showed up as Empire missions, when I took them)
- for one mission I had to dock at another station first to grap an advanced discovery scanner, since the destination system was undiscovered and the outpost (on a planet) didn't show up in the navigation tab...
- the two empire missions gave me like 2% rank progression in total (lord)
- ~6m credits \o/

*slow clap*
*very slow clap*

PS: my trade rank is Entrepreneur, but I think the missions I accepted required only Dealer

I dunno if they have nerfed the missions or something, but from the sound it ... everyone is able to rank up way faster than me. What's going on?
I just got Ensign and it took me 8 hours to get through Warrant Officer rank (1 before Ensign) and i'm doing way better missions than smuggling. I found a planet with skimmer missions, there are 4 installations on planet, but only 1 is landable and gives missions. there are 2 fed factions and they keep giving skimmer missions.
I pile up 18 missions and do them in less than 1 hour, so if doing missions like that takes 8 hours to get through Warrant Officer rank .. then how long will it take me to get past Ensign .. and obviously my aim is Rear Admiral for Corvette, but that's like 4 ranks away from Ensign and with each rank you need to do way more missions to rank up.
by my calculations ... it's gonna take me at least 1 month, playing every day for at least 8 hours .. like    ? I really don't feel like grinding this game alone for entire month....

By the time i'm rear admiral, i'll have like 2-3 billion easily, cuz in that 8 hours I made 100 million already (no joke). Each skimmer mission gives 1.2 - 4.3 million, multiply that by 18. I can complete all missions in 1-2 hours (taking them, doing them, giving them in). So each run makes me 20 - 30 mil. I now have like 450 mil + somewhat tuned anaconda + fully kitted out FAS and fully kitted FDL.
I think something is not right, so I came here to look for answers, are there any HIGH rep+++ missions? cuz i've only seen medium increase missions everywhere.
they all say medium influence and medium rep increase, where are the missions that give high rep and inf?

If anyone is wondering where that planet is that gives those missions, check my youtube, i'll publish the video in few days :)

Well, it doesn't help that your gathering info from a thread over a year that has 1.5 in the title.

We are up to 2.2 atm
