Thought this was a fun idear, so lets make a thread about it!
How would you rank future dlc idears and why? Any particular reasons or animals that you want them and do you want the as scenery or animal packs? Maybe even your perfect rosters for you?
For some starting pack idears (that you can ofcourse add to) i would put in:
- Desert
- Mountains
- Islands
- Temperate Woodlands
- Tropical Rainforest
- Coastal
- Petting zoo (domestic focused)
- Children zoo (half domestic half other child friendly animals like monkeys)
- Zoo Classics (common in captivity abc animals)
Im gonna add mine later cause im technically studying right now, but i hope you guys will allready have some fun with it
Umm this is hard.
I think first would have to be...
1. Drylands
I think the deserts of the world need a lot more fleshing out than the tropical regions in the game, so this one comes a first priority for me, specially considering that a lot of the other packs are tropical centered. I would prefer it as an animal pack to add animals to different kinds of deserts and arid shrublands around the world (both cold and hot).
1. Patagonian mara
2. Greater rhea
3. Collared peccary
4. Perentie or nile crocodile
5. Dromedary camel
6. Hamadryas baboon
7. Secretary bird
8. Cobra!
Yes. No mammalian carnivores that's right. Fight me. And maybe the addax as an anniversary animal instead of the dromedary.
2. Islands
So far the "lands" packs have been animal packs, so to keep the thread going i would say this should be an animal pack (if coastal exists as another pack which can include the building pieces i thought about for the islands pack, so something like complementary packs). If this turns out to be an animal pack then we have a lot of animals to choose from. Still very few slots compared to all the well known islands out there but the perfect roster for me would be something close to this:
1. Tasmanian devil
2. North Island Brown kiwi
3. Japanese serow or Tanuki (probably the latter since Frontier loves their canines)
4. Victoria crowned pigeon
5. Cuban crocodile (i would prefer the marine iguana for Galapagos but so far no iguanas have been habitat animals)
6. Fossa
7. Musk ox
8. IDK... chameleons? lorikeets? birds of paradise? (i wish lol)
3. Coastal
Ok. A scenery pack to complement the one above, with Caribbean and Polynesian building pieces (or something like akin to the Europe pack with different building pieces from Island nations around the world). The roster could allow for animals that have wider range and are not limited to just one island.
1. Brown pelican
2. Green sea turtle
3. Walrus (just cuz the community wants it, it is not my first choice)
4. Sea otter
5. How bout a new type of exhibit like fish tanks, similar to WE we could choose the environment and species? One can dream
4. Tropical rainforest
This one has to be an animal pack to fulfill all the highly requested animals from this type of biome, but i can't think of a good "lands" name to call it, so be my guest. As for the roster... well make South and Central America the stars please.
1. Golden lion tamarin
2. Tree kangaroo (any idc)
3. South american coati
4. Ocelot
5. Red river hog
6. Roseatte spoonbill or scarlet ibis
7. Howler monkey or Spider monkey or mantled guereza
8. Macaws (WE) or second best... hummingbirds
5. Highlands
Another animal pack, although i can see it working as a scenery pack as well with pieces centered around the Himalayas and Buthan.
1. Golden takin (i know people want the yak and is probably what we will get but i prefer the takin)
2. Spectacled bear
3. Golden snub nosed monkey (or gelada)
4. Golden pheasant or himalayan monal (but please give us another galliform)
5. Manul cat
6. Markhor
7. Wolverine
8. Idk, i wanna say eagles or condors but i doubt it.
6. Children's Zoo
A scenery pack. Idk a duck, a cool goat and some cutsie critters to round it up. Maybe include the tamarin here and leave the space open in the jungle pack for another monkey. I think a small monkey will fit well in a Children's zoo pack. And some WE with some birds, so maybe the macaws could also fit in this and that would elevate a pack like this just like the bat did for the twilight pack. Oh and also the porcupine (not to pet of course) or the put the mara here and the porcupine in the drylands pack. Since maras are more tamed and in some zoos are even free roaming animals.
7. Safari Pack
I prefer this to the "zoo classics" title. I don't know if it would be better as an animal or scenery pack but i will go with animal since i care more about the animals than the building pieces:
1. Black rhinoceros
2. Blackbuck
3. Grey crowned crane
4. Nile crocodile
5. Serval
6. Honey badger
7. Grey langur
8. No idea
