I have thought of a fun and joyful way to make Powerplay more interesting and realistic. Better ranking and VIP transports.
The current Merits for kill is a bit lame, killing a harmless sidewinder grants you the same points as an elite fed dropship being 30 merits. also killing cargo transports generates the same number despite its importance in the Powerplay process.
My solution? Incorporate Ship, Rank and VIP bonus system. so that each kill undergoes Ship bonus+Rank bonus and VIP multiplier (VIP transports only)
-Ship Bounus-
Killing a sidewinder may only generate 5 points whilst an Anaconda up to 50...granting some decent reward in the effort of bringing ships down.
-Rank-
2 points for every rank, harmless 2 - Elite 18. this is added to ship value.
-VIPs (Finally!!!)-
VIPs can be found in systems with ranked escorts according to VIP rank (Low to High value). these VIPs are transported in Dolphins, Orcas and Belugas. This would give players the ability to kill these vessels for fun finally!!!
and depending on VIP value. a Multiplier will be added to the kill (up to 2x) stacking with rank and ship bonuses. meaning those who dare take on the big fish will be rewarded greatly.
I tried to make this as small as possible. let me know what you think!
