ranking up ?

I am ranked ADMIRAL with the feds, and now ranking up with the empire. my current rank with the empire is marque!
last night I made it to 4% marque. today I have done 20 missions and have only progressed 2% more.

is it the same the higher you get the longer it takes, as in when your increasing combat rating?

before I made it to marque, each mission seemed to give .5% increase. this has now been blown apart. with 20 missions only giving me 2% increase!

I'm sure it was not as slow as this when I was ranking with the FEDS.

I think at the outset at the bottom ranks I was getting 1% per mission. Now at Lord I think it's roughly 0.6% per mission.

As already stated it gets harder the higher your rank.

Took me a good couple of weeks to get my rank high enough for my cutter.

I am based in the Jimara region and allied with most, I stacked source and returns, deliveries and donations for any empire aligned faction and just did a circuit collecting goods, dropping off deliveries and slapping down the foolish NPC interdictions.

My circuit was something along the lines of Jimara > Li bende > a high tech that a cant remember the name of > yenistani > Jimara (plus several destination changes along the way, usually to airsetanoa)

just kept collecting more missions on the way at each stop or stocking up on the regular S&R commodities to for instant completion if they spawned right.

The interdictions and destination changes kept it interesting enough to ease the grind and get me to my Cutter - I am now in engineer and CZ mode to A rate and modify it to my liking.

Try planet scanning missions in Fehu. Frigschneck's Resort and stack 20 of them from the 3 imperial faction there, they all lead to the same spot on the planet.
