G'day to you all,
Just a quick question about ranks. Can you have two ranks one with the Federation and at the same time one with the Empire or is it just one or the other?

You can gain ranks with both factions. Get enough empire rep & you can buy the Imperial Clipper, likewise for Federation you can then buy the Federal Dropship.

yes you can. you can be allied will all the factions as long as you have the effort to do so. but in my opinion, it'll be tiring to be allied with all the factions.
